Feedback
"Your music is very cool done and I updated the Game music base with the information about you and your work." - Lubos Culen of MirSoft, via email..

"Dude, awesome job on the music! I loved the original Grabbag.midi file from Duke 3D and your remake is amazing! In fact, all of the music you did is amazing! If I worked for a computer game company (such as 3D Realms or someone else), I'd hire you to do the music! You rule, man! " - Alex Wanamaker via the MarkMcWane.com Guestbook.

"If I worked at 3DRealms, I'd hire you right now. The music that you have re-composed is simply breathtaking. Being a Duke fanatic myself, I must say that you mixed your love of music and video games perfectly. Now, wheres the DOOM remixes??" - Gamebrain at 3D Realms Duke Nukem Forum.

"Great work Mark, very impressive." - ADoomedMarine at 3D Realms Duke Nukem Forum.

"This is awesome, all I can say is thank you. You really help bring back the Duke Nukem 3D world." - NetNessie at 3D Realms Duke Nukem Forum.

"Yesterday, when I was browsing through the Net, I wanted to check on the Duke Nukem 3D Win32 project, when I found the link to your site. For my surprise I saw all the music, which I loved in this game, recreated by you. I must say, they are all the best!" - Norbert Mihály from Hungary, via email.

"Astounding" - Yatta at Nuke Zone.

"Awesome man! They should definitely use this for Jonof's port as well. That would be great." - Kef Nukem at 3D Realms Duke Nukem Forum.

"I just wanted to say thanks Mark. The new music is fantastic. Thanks for making the extra effort in pumping out the OGG versions. It really makes a difference in an area of Duke that I think has been very neglected until recently. Great stuff! Can't wait for the remaining tracks. " - Bargle at 3D Realms Duke Nukem Forum.

"Great work! My favorite is Plasma. I love listening to the Dark Side music and then beating the episode to hear the d3d music again. So that's why it’s my fav." - Doorhenge at 3D Realms Duke Nukem Forum.

"If you're looking for some music to put into the game, I highly recommend the Duke 3D tracks re-arranged by Mark McWane." - Eclipse at GameSpy's Planet Duke.

"Oh man this is so awesome a big hell yeah for you guys ." - Holla at RancidMeat.com (site of the Duke Nukem 3D Port that works with OGG and MP3 files).

"Great stuff!" - Bryzian of Bryzian.com, a Duke Nukem 3D resource site.

"The latest version of Rancidmeat's Win32 Duke port has been released (Build 19), one of the more noticeable features being new .ogg/.mod/.wav/.mp3 music support, (though MP3 playback is a little buggy).
In answer to this, Mark McWane has released OGG versions of his Duke3D music tracks - you can grab them from his music page." - DN-3D Repository.

"Hail to the King!" - Duke Nukem.

The Duke Nukem 3D Music Project

Lee Jackson and Robert C. Prince III (Bobby Prince) wrote the now-beloved music to the Duke Nukem 3D game in 1994 and 1995. The main theme song, "Grabbag", is a "I can name that tune in three notes" kind of song, and gamers still love it. With the advent of high quality musical scores via MP3 or OGG, or some proprietary format, modern gamers are now accustomed to hearing music that is big, robust and CD quality. The original Duke Nukem 3D music was in MIDI format only, and it unfortunately did not age well. As a result, and with the permission of Lee and Bobby, I made the decision to create new and improved arrangements of all the Duke Nukem 3D music, and with new ports of the now open-source code to Duke Nukem 3D, my music can now be used in the game itself!

NEWS
I am slowly but surely creating all new arrangements for the entire Duke Nukem franchise, from the first three episodes, to the Atomic Edition, to the Nuclear Winter and Caribbean Vacation add-ons, using a mixture of the East West Quantum Leap Silver, Gold and Platinum Edition professional sound libraries, Voices of the Apocalypse and other professional grade sound libraries. The difference is huge from the original project music from last year. I will have some samples for you soon, but the new tracks will blow you away. I have also added jump menus for you to download the individual tracks, versus the full ZIP packs, so now you have a choice.

GT Interactive's Blood - The McWane Orchestral Arrangements from 2005 - Track 02 Check it out here! This is - not - an example of what you can expect from the other tracks as I complete the entire soundtrack...the newest tracks will be much better, as I have significantly changed my sound programs and libraries since 2005, so please stay tuned. Feedback would be greatly appreciated, so email me with your thoughts.

Duke Nukem 3D - The Orchestral Arrangement 2005 - Baked Goods Check it out here! This is an example of what you can expect from the other tracks. Feedback would be greatly appreciated, so email me with your thoughts.

Duke Nukem 3D - The Orchestral Arrangement 2005 - Ah Geez! Check it out here! This is an example of what you can expect from the other tracks. Feedback would be greatly appreciated, so email me with your thoughts.

"Plasma" Track! Orchestral Arrangement 2005 - Check it out here! This is another example of what you can expect from the forthcoming tracks. Feedback would be greatly appreciated, so email me with your thoughts.

Back in Spring 2004, I completed building a website for the very popular Louisville-based R&B cover band, V-Groove. The new web presence reflects the flavor of the band and will be a solid resource for fans of this outstanding local band, and potential venues looking to book talent of this caliber in the greater Louisville area.If you are on this page, you obviously are interested in music...and if you like really good live bands, check out the V-Groove website and listen to some clips of what they do! Now! Thanks! ;)

Music Requests
I have not had time yet to complete all the music for the additional Duke Nukem 3-D Addons, but I have continued to receive requests to revisit other musical works. Check them out here.

Duke Nukem, Caribbean Vacation Track
I am working to complete new musical arrangements to the Caribbean Vacation add-on pack. Please enjoy the following track, "Doomsday", the first track from the Caribbean Vacation add-on pack. More to come soon!

Original "Whomp!" Arrangement Available!
The version of Whomp! that I have provided to date was actually based upon a pre-release version. The actual in-game version has now been re-arranged, utilizing my new and improved professional sound libraries.

The MirSoft Database of Games, Games Music and Soundtracks has added my work for the Duke Nukem Project and for the Blood Project! Check it out.
