Web Development

Duke Nukem 3D Music Project
In Spring 2004 I obtained permission from Lee Jackson and Bobby Prince to compose new musical arrangements of the still-popular and still-played Duke Nukem 3D PC game. With 3D Realms making the programmatic source code Open last year, we now have OpenGL support for greatly improved graphics, and now support for MP3 and OGG files in place of the original MIDI music. And now I have completed new arrangements for all three original Episodes, and for the Atomic Edition. Enjoy! Click Here to Check It Out!

The Periculum Half Life 2 MOD Music Project
I composed some proposed original music for this now-dead Half Life 2 MOD. No actual MOD forthcoming, but the music is here. Click Here to Check It Out!

V-Groove.net
The web presence (website) will continue to grow and expand as needed, and will be a great resource for fans of this outstanding local band. It has already driven new business to this excellent Louisville-based cover band. Click Here to Read More!

Summer 2007 - News and Updates

With the birth of my first child in February of this year, daughter Madeline Grace, there has not been much free time for music. As I can, I am working still to complete all new arrangements to the Duke Nukem 3D addons, Caribbean Vacation and Nuclear Winter, and updates can be found on the Duke Music page here. I have also consolidated all Duke Nukem music into ZIP files for each Episode to assist in easier downloading.

Spring 2004, I completed building a website for the very popular Louisville-based R&B cover band, V-Groove. The new web presence reflects the flavor of the band and will be a solid resource for fans of this outstanding local band, and potential venues looking to book talent of this caliber in the greater Louisville area.

Additionally, I have built the new web interface for a number of local companies, organizations and non-profit entities. I greatly enjoy the work I have been able to do for organizations such as V-Groove, a popular Louisville-based R&B cover band, the Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates and Broadway Baptist Church.

MORE NEWS
I am slowly but surely creating all new arrangements for the entire Duke Nukem franchise, from the first three episodes, to the Atomic Edition, to the Nuclear Winter and Caribbean Vacation add-ons, using a mixture of the East West Quantum Leap Silver, Gold and Platinum Edition professional sound libraries, Voices of the Apocalypse and other professional grade sound libraries. The difference is huge from the original project music from last year. I will have some samples for you soon, but the new tracks will blow you away. I have also added jump menus for you to download the individual tracks, versus the full ZIP packs, so now you have a choice.

The Duke Nukem Music Project and other music projects on this site have driven over 35,000 unique visitors from over 63 countries to MarkMcWane.com, a very large number for a personal site. Any advertisers interested please email me for consideration.

I completed the web site for the Louisville Rose Society Summer 2004. This is an excellent group of rose lovers, and their site will continue to grow and provide a useful repository of rose-care information for the greater Louisville area.

The feedback thus far from the gaming community on my Duke Nukem 3D Music Project has been phenomenal. I have received emails from happy fans of the game and of my new musical arrangements from literally all around the world - Russia, Italy, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, and on and on. I have posted some of the feedback on the Duke Nukem 3D Music Project page, as well as links to pertinent Duke Nukem 3D sites.

I have also composed some original music for a since-cancelled Half Life 2 MOD, and you can catch some samples here.

Stay tuned for more updates!
